Folex.....I be sold
« on: June 29, 2008, 04:59:08 PM »
Thanks Hwm3...picked up a bottle to test on the wifes car.  Lots of "kiddo" stains.

Man that might be my new fav carpet cleaner.

I picked some Folex up today at Home Depot while I was there.  I had to get a new 5 gallon bucket since my Lowes bucket sprung a leak.  That and I don't like the Lowes bucket.  It's a bit too narrow so the grit guard wouldn't go to the bottom.  Had to force it to the half way point and I guess after a few months in the bucket it cracked it.  Man I get off topic easily.  Anyway, I was going to use it in the Little Green Machine but decided to give APC+ a shot first.  It was decent at best but I touched some spots up with Folex and it cleaned them up much better.  I think I'm going to pick up a gallon of it for use in the LGM.  I currently only have the 36oz spray bottle.  Nice stuff though.

Well, for me finding anything in Home Depot is a chore.  I found the 36oz spray bottle in with the other cleaning products but then I walking around a bit more I found the gallon jug with the carpet shampooers (is that a word?)  Five and some change for the 36oz and 15 and some change for the gallon.

I doubt I splurge for the gallon... maybe I'll bite on the little bottle.  I really like APC+ for interior -- even better, I like the OLD APC+ for interiors... the new stuff, like most of the D-line, isn't as good as the old stuff...

I miss Citri-Gel.  *sniffle*

Detailer friend of mine (Jamie) up on the East Coast purchased it by the drum and used it on airplanes.  I've never detailed a plane but that was this guy's business... he LOVED the stuff and was VERY upset to learn that Meg's was switching the D-Line several years ago...

Folex works great on treating stains. I use it quite a bit when I just got a couple of spots here and there.  For carpet shampooing I use all ProChem products. Their Traffic Lane Cleaner and All Fiber Rinse works awesome with a carpet extractor.
