Extractor in Seattle
« on: December 01, 2008, 03:55:24 AM »
Anybody live in the Seattle area and have an extractor? If so, what are the odds that I can get some help with my seat?

Something spilled in it, and I have used every bit of detailingknowledge/chemicals I have to remove it... To no avail... Unforunately, its more than just cosmetic-- it smells to high heck...

I've tried APC+, Blue Magic, Ozium, little trees, febreeze, and air freshner spray (new car for that one...)... nothing has completely elminated it. Ozium seems to reduce it for a few hours, but nothing has all out removed the odor.

Any help appreciated.

FWIW, my email is navyguy@swbell.net

thanks all.

Have you tried Folex yet? It's great on stains, but I'm not sure about odors. As for the extractor, I've found that my 5 HP Sears Shop Vac works as well or better on the extraction side.

This might sound odd and I have no idea if it'll work or not but it's worth a shot.  I just took my cat to the vet for a few reasons one of them being he has a fascination with licking the wall and it caused an allergic reaction.  Thinking maybe something is on the wall that the cat can sense and we cant I asked the vet for a good safe cleaner and was recommended Natures Miracle.  It's meant for cats, mainly urine and other odors that we may not smell but cats can.  It's main ingrediant is isopropyl alcohol but also contains natural enzymes for the odors.  It's less than $10/32oz bottle at any major pet store.  I'd give it a shot.  Really saturate the spot and just let air dry.

You can buy a Bissell Little Green Cleaning Machine, AKA LGCM at Wal-Mart for under $100. Just a thought...

(And yes, it is the real deal. I use this for my mobile detailing company and have no complaints. It's legit).

Yeah, I know, but then again, I eat ramen noodles for a month or two at a time (with nothing else in between ramen meals...), so the concept of spending $100 on anything other than food... well, anything at all really... is very hard to imagine...

But thanks for the input. I'll see if I can find anyone with one up here///
