It’s going to take a little while before I can get a video out, but took some pretty good pictures. My friend came out with his F150 that he swapped Raptor suspension and body parts onto. It did really well.

Is it even possible to get your quad stuck with those tires?  :wow:

Cool shots.  Waiting on the video though.

Those type of photos are crazy difficult because of the insane dynamic range.  Super bright highlights and dark shadows.  I’ve seen a lot worse.  It didn’t completely blow out the highlights like I would expect and the shadows are recoverable.  I feel like it’s missing some sharpness but that could be Tapatalk dumbing it down.

Very cool edit! He took the Photos with his Rebel xTi, so not a new camera by any stretch. It did take some decent photos though and blew our phones out of the water.

I can only upload "medium" quality photos via Tapatalk, so that's not full resolution photo.

I took next week off, so I hope to have time to put an edit together. The footage was very scattered to be honest as I was more about testing the camera, then "telling the story" of the trip. I totally messed up and wasn't even recording when I was using the drone a couple of times. I even forgot to hit record when I was pulling his truck out with the Outlander after he buried it in some snow.

Anyway, watch for a video late next week, I'll put something together.

On a side note, we picked up some BaoFeng radios, what a game changer!

Oh, I thought those photos were taken with the new camera.  I misunderstood.

Weird you can only upload medium quality.  I figured it was a Tapatalk thing.  I can upload anything up to about 20MB before I have to downsize the pictures or quality somehow.  In fact Tapatalk won’t even work with my cameras full res files if I tell it to upload them in medium quality. But it will work easily with my iPhones which are still on the large side.  48mp vs 61mp.  I shoot everything in raw format.  My iPhone takes about a 70MB image and if I edit and convert to jpg it will be anywhere from 12 mb to 20 mb.  Then Sony is roughly the same 70 mb and converts down to anywhere from 25-36mb.  It’s weird.

I will have to look in to those radios.  It’s nice being able to communicate.  A lot of times you don’t know hat the guy ahead of you is thinking when he stops at an intersection, looks up the sketchy trail, goes for it while you wait and he leaves your sight.  Then you follow only to have you both back out of the trail.  Haha.

I did take some pics with the 360, but haven't looked at them yet. Loading up to make the 900mile trip to my Dads. I will have a bunch of time next week to edit, but sucks I won't have a second monitor. All well.

The radios are really nice. I grabbed a couple UV-82's that are the 8watt version. We we able to communicate pretty far apart and the mic was nice to have clipped on my jacket. I also programmed it for all the Forestry service road, NOAA, regular walkie-talkie and Local Offroad group channels.

Still need to find a decent Picture hosting site.

Do decent picture hosting sites exist anymore?  Without paying at least.

Second monitor?  Haha.  I do most things on my phone and if it’s a kore important edit then I use my MacBook Pro with a 13” screen.  Barely bigger than a tablet. Haha

I’ve gone into full work on truck mode. Gotta find some time to edit.

Yeah we are going to need you to set your priorities aside and satisfy our needs.  Thanks!

I just saw the Insta360 X4 debuted.  I’ve been waiting for a high resolution 360 camera.  I’m still not sold on 360 cameras.  I love the reframing aspect but I just dont like the crazy wide angle or how fragile they are but atleast this one comes with replaceable lense covers.

I saw that and am kind of in the same boat. I see some really cool features and benefits of the 360, but think I would break it, lol.
