A couple little things done on the quad last night. SpeedoHealer installed to correct the odometer and Speedo for the tracks and 32’s

Boyesen water pump and replacement hose done as well. Now I just have to replace a ton of bearings in these idler wheels for the tracks and get them mounted.

Worked my butt of today to try and get the tracks rebuilt and mounted up. Only about 20 minutes left in the morning and it’s done and ready to load into the trailer.

I had to replace 33 bearings in the idler wheels, the problem being that they try to make it so you have to replace the whole wheel. The wheels are $79 each…you do the math. I said to heck with that and got creative. I took a 3” hole saw, drilled out the side of the idler wheels, pressed out the bearings, replaced and then used a large washer and screws to act as a retainer to hold it together again. Seems to be doing the trick, first ride out will confirm!

Next up was the rear anti-flip mounts. I basically just mimicked what they did for OEM, but with thicker steel and crappier welds, lol.

Where’s all the snow?  That thing looks like an awesome snowy mountain adventure machine.

Lots of snow here, like over 3ft still after a few warm days. I’ll try to get some vids and pics up.

Unfortunately, not much has been going on. The sled I bought doesn’t go past half throttle, so we parked it after a very short ride. Then it rained most of the day yesterday, so we spent it inside. I also put my back out, which really sucks, but we are having a nice visit with friends and family at least.

Took the quad out for a little exploring today.

Sucks about the back and sled.  I have a lot of back problems.  Well I have a lot of problems but they’re all just nagging injuries.  The back is super frustrating though.  Every time I drop something it’s just “uugghh”.  Haha

It’s pretty painful, but certainly more frustrating though. I had to go and do heat/ice cycles on it after just a short ride.

We’ll visit today and the load up to head back tomorrow.

Nothing like planning a great get away, then traveling for hours to get there only to have something infuriating go wrong when you get there. Hope you feel better soon!

A little more mobile today, but still pretty darn stiff. We are going to attempt to go for a little ride tomorrow before we pack up to start the trip back on Friday.
