Over the week a few bits came in, so I hope to get to work on it over the weekend.

Boyesen water pump
Left rear axle (the one I didn’t replace is clicking)
Front right fender flair that was on back order
Hand/thumb warmer kit
Seal kit for the front shock that I didn’t buy new.
Winch bump to keep the hook from messing up the fairlead.

I have seal kits for the rear shocks, but I’ll wait a bit before rebuilding them. They seem fine right now.

Hand and thumb warmer kit… that’s cute.

Kidding.  I’ve had freezing cold hands on rides before and it sucks.  I’ve also rode a snowmobile and it was nice having them.  Being cold can ruin a ride.

Hahaha, I’m getting old and want to be comfortable when I ride. No more cold thumb for me!

I was able to get the rubber isolator on the winch line (all of 2 minutes, lol) and the front shock rebuilt. I found the cause of the seal failure, so should be good to go now.

I’ll rebuild the rears eventually, but for now, they are just going to get a nitrogen re-charge.

Hand warmers are on! Nice and toasty now.

I was going to get the water pump done too, but found a coolant hose that was almost wore through. I’ll get a new one so I only have to dump the coolant once.

They sure didn’t make it easy to get the OEM grips off!

Grips suck to get off!  I replaced the ones on our Grizzlies for more comfortable ones and I think I ultimately ended up cutting the second pair off once I knew the first pair worked out good.

There was no other way to get these ones off, they use some sort of industrial strength glue, lol.

Last axle and last fender flare swapped out tonight. I also re-charged the rear shocks, they had a decent charge still in them, so I don’t feel too bad about waiting to rebuild.

I may try to take the kiddos for a little ride tomorrow or may work on the trailer. We’ll see what happens.

Did you ever see those clear belt covers?  I like the idea of being able to see the belt and sheaves.  And they look cool.

Yeah, they look kinda cool, but it would just be another thing to keep clean, lol.

Do you typically clean everything except the belt cover?  Haha

No, but I don’t plan on keeping this bike very clean and I have no intention of having to pull a belt cover off to keep the inside clean, lol.

My neighbor who broke his face when his now-ex-girlfriend smashed his side by side in to the tree just bought an RMax.  It’s a 2 seat but hopefully I get a chance to see what it can do sometime soon.  I asked him when he’s taking it out and he said not until it’s got full coverage and he already put harnesses in it.  Want to guess what his last one didn’t have?  Haha

Well, that would suck!  I would like to have good harnesses in a side by side if I ever got one.

Interested to see what you think, if you get to check it out.

My Dad never uses his Grizzly, so I may bring it back with me next time I visit home. My Dad would never sell it, I don’t think but it would be good to borrow for a little while.

Yeah.  It’s been almost 5 months since the accident and he still can’t chew a lot of food.  He broke clean through his jaw almost dead center.  The left and right side weren’t even lined up.  He was a mess when I got to him.  Her head was caved in and she was unconscious.  She recovered but it seems like she’s got a long road of physical therapy ahead of her.  Not sure what her status is now because he broke up with her not long after for unrelated reasons.

So yeah, wear seat belts when riding, even if it’s on your own property.  And if you have crappy regular seat belts, swap in some harnesses.  That should always be mod number one!

I love my grizzly though.  Cassie loves hers and said she will never sell it.  As much as I love mine, I could probs lay sell it if I got the itch for something different.  It’s just so damn fun and reliable though.

Got the kids out today for a little ride. We set up the trailer as “home base” and then we were able to go out a few times, taking breaks between for them to just play in the snow and such.
