New lighting project
« on: May 29, 2021, 09:44:15 PM »
Been working on this idea since we moved in 4 years ago.   We needed a flower bed first but new lighting.   So after a year of working on this back bed, I put in lighting today.   These are all 10 ft tall. 1 1/4 metal conduit that is sitting in 24 inches of 1 1/2 plastic conduit as a sleeve in the ground.  So I an pull all of these poles in 2 min.

They are very subtle despite the photos, they are 1/3 as bright as our LED's in the pergola.  I am very pleased with the results.  This project took me all of today to complete.  But I have been working on it for 2 weeks, getting supplies, laying things out and doing math, which I hate.   But it all came together and I am please.

Thanks man, its a total work in progress.   Not a flex by any means so Mike ...save that post.   LOL.

I have wanted to do this project for 3 years....i tried some LED strips and sent them back.  After a ton of research I went with these that are way less intrusive.  Our neighbors behind us star gaze with scopes and sometimes they text us to turn everything off so they can look at stars and such...I always comply with that request b/c I feel like planes line up to land at our hosue sometimes.  Still working with the grass in the back, have a few weed patches left (Left over prairie grass).

As mentioned in prior posts.  We would be happy to host you guys for a stay cation.  If yall need a break and find yourselves in the area, need a bed or a weekend...door is open, come visit

Well it looks like my job is done here!  Haha. You know the old saying.  You can’t hide money.  Haha. That’s what our Tennessee family likes to tell me, especially after the f450 and camper purchase so I feel it’s my duty to pass that on.

That’s pretty cool!  Anything you’re happy and excited about, I’m happy and excited for you.  I like those.  Given where you live, I’m thinking planes might not be the problem.  Your property is looking like a beacon to the home planet.

The house is beautiful though, bud!
