I took Thursday off, so I hope to swap the lug nuts, install the hood struts and remove the explorer badge on the hood.

Found these wheels that I really like and the wife approves of. So I’ll probably order in May sometime.

I like those wheels.

Is this one of those stupid vehicles Ford makes that still uses a manual folding hood prop/support?  It amazes me when these expensive vehicles, especially the higher end versions, come with such stripped down options.

Bingo. They are cheating out in some odd places these days.

I think they will look good. A set of Toyo Proxe ST iii's in 285/50/20 should round out the setup pretty nicely.

Also took it for a little test. Not bad for a stock boat.

Set up the new laptop with ForScan and a new cable. It gave me access to a bunch of new modules. Most importantly, it allowed me to turn off the fake engine noise! Woohoo

I still know nothing about ForScan or how it works other than what you’ve said so far.

It basically a program that lets you access the different program modules and make changes.

So you can do things like open all your windows with your key fob, have your fogs and high beams on at the same time, enable features that are on higher trim level vehicles, etc.

Does one program work on different vehicles or do you have to get one specific to your model?

It works on a bunch of Ford and Mazda stuff.
Forscan.org to get the software, 2 month license is free and you can keep extending it.
The only thing you need otherwise is a OBD adapter. I use this one, it seems to work really well.

You have to have a Window's PC or a Windows Emulator.

For my F150 and the ST, folks have shared Spreadsheets on changes you can make in the code. Having said that though, there usually a configuration tool for each module tat let's you make changes via the UI and just have to write them to the module after you are done.

This gives you an idea
