Laptop ordered. Went with a decent spec MSI laptop. It’s a gaming laptop that I can change the graphics drivers to be better suited to video editing. Hope to have it next week.

My last laptop was an MSI. It was well spec’d and did what I needed it to do when I got it but wasn’t up for the challenge of the newer, higher bit rate, higher resolution videos and struggled to edit photos in Lightroom and photoshop.  Of course this was a few years ago.  My biggest complaint was always the bloatware that came on it.  It had so much unnecessary stuff running on it, especially at start up.

I’ve heard that as well. I can clean up a bunch of that though. We’ll see how it does!

It’s crazy how hard the bike industry has been hit. Massive demand and no parts!

New Computer showed up today. It's seems to be pretty quick, but will have to actually load some video. Changed the Graphics Driver from a gaming version to a Studio version and loaded up a few programs I'm going to need on it for various thing.

Decided to try and start with Devinci resolve. Hopefully I can get a little bit of random footage this weekend to try and cut up a bit.

Divinci resolve is super powerful.  The downside, it’s also somewhat complicated.  I feel like I need to reteach myself each time I use it.

Very True. I was going to look at Filmora, I've heard it has a nice easy UI to get your head wrapped around.

I exited my post to fix typo.  I meant reteach myself each time I use it.  That said, I’d really like to try premier pro.  It’s pricey though.  Especially compared to free.haha

With soo many free options, I'm going to try them out first. I've now spent $5k on this endeavor, lol.

This doesn’t surprise me at all.  We have all seen the way you throw money around.
