Computer selection --

If you are visual learner or do best when you see how stuff is done then pick the Mac.

If you are a book learner and like doing math then it is a PC.

Mac was developed by and for visual people and PC developed by numbers people (IBM) in business.

I have both for work and will be getting a PC. It’s more of a utilitarian reason, as some I have some other programs that only run on Windows. Before you say it, I’m not running a emulator or windows boot version on a Mac. Also been there and not worth my effort or time to mess with.

I too keep 1 working PC with me for this very reason but it mainly for making sight tapes for bows and programing ham radios.  LOL

My wife had some fancy surface thing...i had no idea how to use it.  I converted to mac around 15 years ago.

I was complaining (jokingly) on a call with our VP of IT about a internal project that I was on and how it would be easier if I had a Mac like all our Product team has.Two days later I had a top spec MacBook Air delivered to the house, lol.  It actually came in handy and I still make use of it, but it’s strictly work only.

My company issue PC is a top spec Surface book 3, it’s like a $4k PC. Whenever our VP of IT orders a new PC, he orders one for me, lol. I guess the scotch and Canadian candy I make sure he gets, has paid off.

I have to put up with some seriously crappy situations and customers that have spent millions on a solution that isn't meeting their expectations. I'll take the tiny perks that I get.

No argument here.  No doubt you deserve all of the benefits and then some that come with the job.

They’re basically remote controlled cars for the sky.  I’m not a huge FPV drone person.  It doesn’t fit my photography needs or the cinematic aspect I enjoy.  To each their own.  I respect what they can do for sure.  I love remote control cars but I’m sure insanely destructive, I break all of them I touch, so I can only imagine I would enjoy the experience until I break it.  Hell, I break my current drone often enough.

I watched some of the comparison video muted because Cassie was on the phone but I liked the GoPro footage better.  GoPro definitely has its issues but judging by the comments I can’t help but think his audience is biased and he plays to that.

Thanks for asking Mike, yes things are getting back to normal, Boil water was lifted on Wed of this week....just working on solving the broken stuff.  We won't know the full extend of damage until we run our sprinklers....we have 22 Zones.  I hope they are all ok.    We have over 100 heads....so its kind of a pain in the ass.  I spent months on our system when I moved it 4 years ago.  Replaced every valve in the yard, and most of the heads.   New project this year is to install hose bibs in line in several zones in the yard/.   Also going to dig up where city water comes in to house and T the line and put in a double check valve inlet hose bib....so I can run a hose from the well to the house in case of no city water like we had.

Thanks for visiting the Cafe, come back often.  There's always something new!
