I have arrived.     And at 55 per night....I am winning.    Didn't have to pull camper.

Sleeping in Sunday to 9.    Riding by noonish.

I may or may not have bought a Mavic Pro 2 today...
I can’t even begin to tell you how jealous I would be when I think about that and where you take the truck.  You could get some unreal pictures, providing it’s not a no fly zone.

its pretty tight but find by me....    Wish there was a better kitchen but i brought my small weber from the camper.  So I am good.  Temps are low tomorrow.   46 for a high....today was 72 but rain all day.   Trails open at 10 am.   I will be ready to roll at noon.   Brought the drone to take a few vids and shots.

Hey if you haven't checked out our new father son youtube channel yet, and you feel so compelled to subscribe...check ti out.

I’m subbed now, looking forward to checking out all the vids.

I was poking around on Facebook Marketplace and saw a Mavic Pro 2 for $1000 US. Turns out it flew for about 15 minutes and then was put back in the box when he found out he needed a license to fly. It’s just the base kit, so I will have to grab some extras, but couldn’t pass it up for the price.

Now I gotta figure out how it works, lol.

Cool man, thanks for the subscribe.   So does this Pro come with the smart controller or regular?

Just comes with the regular controller. I think the smart controller is like $900

It looks really nice, I’m just going with what I can get for a decent price first. I gotta make good use of it before spending that kinda cheddar.

Signed up for the GoPro subscription, ordered a couple extra batteries and charger, along with the “media mod”.

Thinking the fly more bundle is the best bang for the buck to get a couple extra batteries for the mavic.

I think the suction cup mount would be great for you to be able to mount it in nearly infinite locations on the outside of the truck.  And a mixed bag of different elbows and such to be able to get it pointed where you want it.  Different roll bar or tube clamps for it can get you cool shots of the suspension and stuff if you get creative.

I dont know why I found this video so painful to watch but if you skip around the video you’ll get some ideas on mounting.  They rely a lot on the clamp and gooseneck mount which is cool but super unstable.  I am actually curious how the stability is with the new hyper post on the 9 and those types of clamps.

The hardest part for me is just how much downtime you create by swapping angles all the time.  I’m ok with it myself but I feel like it annoys everyone else.  You really need to be with people who want those shots and are just as interested as you.  Also sucks that almost all the footage is from onboard my rig which means there’s rarely any video of me doing stuff.

Also super jealous their dog is so good on the trail.  I’d end up running mine over because they would be trying to figure out a way to bite the tires or they would run 2 feet from the side and be in my blind spot the whole time.

That was painful to watch, lol.

I grabbed this pack of mounts, I think a few things will come in handy. It was $20, so worth it for a few bits.

I’ll have to see what I have from my old GoPro.

There’s a lot of stuff in there.  Useful stuff, too.  Well worth the money.
