I need a new carpet cleaner...

My LGM is on its way out.  Really it just leaks really bad and is a mess to use.  What is the best new option out at a decent price?

I'm waiting to see what answers you get. My LGM works as advertised - which is to say not very well. I've just never really thought it did much.

Mine doesn't leak, but I have the following issues:

1) The spray pattern is both too wide and too much liquid comes out.

2) The suction leaves quite a bit to be desired. (I actually end up pulling out my shop vac to get the last of the moisture out.)

3) It's somewhat of a PITA to clean up after use.

4) Unless I fill it with hot water, it doesn't really clean all that well.

I'm not sure what you are wanting to spend but this is a pretty decent extractor for the money.http://www.detailsupplyoutlet.com/item.htm?item_num=303  They also have a bigger extractor that is heated for about $300 more.  You can't go wrong with Mytee extractors, I've been using another Mytee model for over 8 years now.

Mine doesn't leak, but I have the following issues:

1) The spray pattern is both too wide and too much liquid comes out.

----- a little wide yes.  It never bothers me though.  The flow definitely never bothered me.  In fact I usually load the carpet up anyway.

2) The suction leaves quite a bit to be desired. (I actually end up pulling out my shop vac to get the last of the moisture out.)

------ I do go over it quite a bit.  For the money though it did it's job.  It'd be nice if I didn't have to spend quite as much time sucking out the liquid.

3) It's somewhat of a PITA to clean up after use.

------- really?  I just empty it, rinse it out a little bit and put it away.  What do you do?

4) Unless I fill it with hot water, it doesn't really clean all that well.

-------- I always fill it with hot water.  There's always the Pro Heat model.

Answer within quote.

Justin,

That actually looks like a decent option cost wise.  Cheaper would be better but I know you get what you pay for in most circumstances.  That could be money well spent.  Does it work fairly well on cloth upholstery? I dontnsee why it wouldn't but figured I'd ask.

It will work fine on cloth upholstery.

"watching".........

As an FYI...our LGCM works great.  We do use it from time to time with pet accidents.

Thanks for visiting the Cafe, come back often.  There's always something new!

Looks like a really nice little unit. I wish our dollar wasn't such crap, I would pick one up for use this summer.

Looking around, I can't really see much better. I like my LGM, but it is only OK.
