I wasn’t able to get right around the water box, which really did help, but the front is not set up right for sure.

At least I’m pretty certain of the cause now and can fix it relatively easy.

Just gotta swap the trans....again.

Is the transmission under warranty?

Only if a part that he installed busted. I don’t think any parts that he installed, failed.

That's some serious hopping going on there! No wonder something broke.

Spare trans pulled apart, cleaned, re-sealed and new clutches installed.

All back together and ready to go in the truck.

Nope nope and nope.  But good for you.  I wouldn't dare attempt that.

People say I'm crazy to have 3 complete sets of wheels & tires - for each of my vehicles. But I don't have a whole spare transmission laying around because I blow them up on a regular basis! I feel so much better now!  :funny:

Well, the first one lasted 5+ years and the second only a week

I figured I would play the averages. For $350, the spare trans was totally worth it.

This was a whole trans I grabbed off of the local classifieds. He said he pulled it from a wreck for his hot rod and it only had 45k miles on it. He then realized that he couldn’t do a 4x4 like he planned on an needed to source a 2wd trans.

The inside was in really, really good shape. Glad I grabbed it.

It all back together and running well. Took it for a quick test drive and everything works as it should so far.

Anybody want to guess how long this one's going to last with "you know who" driving?  :funny:

Last time I joked about him breaking something... He broke something.  Nothing but good vibes from me from now on.  Haha
