It might have been running a day earlier if you were not detailing everything as you went.

Congrats on the fire up.

Yeah, getting the lines sorted out for the Turbos and oil cooler certainly set me back. I wanted them to be as good as possible and not interfere with anything else.

Also, if parts would have shown up earlier and I spent more time cleaning while I was waiting, it would have gone quicker.

Good should be going on tonight and I’ll take it for a spin and then change the oil and send out for analysis.

Took it for a spin tonight and it ran like a top.

There are a few loose ends to tie up, but it's all running and good.

Things left
Catch can - Need one fitting that's in transit
Return fuel system - Need one fitting that's in transit
Rear Diff - need to get off my butt and swap the diff cover and fluid (I just hate diff fluid because it's stinky...)

Then it's just getting the other bolt-ons re-installed like the Winch and skid plates.

So what I need to know is seat of the pants...

Obviously you're not thrashing on it but is there a noticeable difference in the way it drives?  Any negatives besides the huge, gaping hole in your wallet?

It on a near-stock tune right now, so it actually feels slower than the tune it was running before, lol. It runs well though, so I just need to get through break-in before I turn it up a few notches.

I'm taking it pretty easy on it right now, no WOT and lots of RPM varying.

How long is the break in period?  I want dyno numbers.  I want WOT runs.  I want to see you launch it through the air... Ok ok.  Maybe not that although I wouldn't complain.

I'm expecting a launch.

Not the redneck 90' jump version...
- If you have not seen it, it did not end well.

Maybe not a Ken Block jump either.
- Ford sends him cars & Trucks being a sponsor of his.  If he misplaces a prototype Ford just sends him another one.

Ok then I change my stance.  I definitely want a launch.  That's two votes for a launch.  I think a third seals it.  Normally I think we could count on Ryan to be that third vote but something tells me probably not this time.  Isn't this why you upgraded the shocks?

I seem to recall he would have had to upgrade the shocks on a Raptor as part of the: This is cheaper than buying a Raptor explanation.  :funny:

NO launching it unless it's off the line for a drag race, lol.

I do love these shocks though, speed bumps are like nothing, even the humps don't rock the boat that much. One of my favorite upgrades.

Break-in is really the first 3500 miles. I'll be able to start laying into it around the 500 mile mark though. But at that point it will be some serious logging and maybe a Dyno run just to get data to the tuner.

First oil change after the first 30 miles will be tomorrow. I'll cut open the filter and take a peek. Next change in 250 miles. Then another 1500 and 2500ish before a switch to full synthetic.

No the fun begins!

One thing to note, that according to the logs, it's already making more power than it was before. That's with the turned down break-in tune...
