Thanks guys, very happy with them.

They went on very, very easily. everything lined up as it should and the hardware was very good quality coated Grade 8.

If I were to give them a knock, it would be on two things.
 - They want you to re-use two bolts from the OEM parts. I would have preferred to replace them, so went to the hardware store to get new ones.
- The tranny skid plate could be wider, I would love to see it go from frame rail to frame rail. Nothing is really exposed, but it would provide additional protection.

With the aftermarket 3" down-pipes, the one skid is very close to the flex pipe. It isn't touching and I'll drop to inspect in a couple of weeks to see if any movement of flexing is allowing for contact. Easy fix though, I can put a thick washer between the plate mounts and the frame to give it some room.

I'm chicken shit, I would have stuck the spacer in there from the get go.

Rubber or plastic of some type, just to keep the corrosion down.  too bad you are not close by I have a ton of plastic spacers from parts off things.
- I keep thinking FPDM corrosion against the frame on my 2006.

Only thing giving me some hope is that they fasten with treated clip nuts. So the plates aren't right against the frame, they hit the clips first. I had a bunch of polyurethane washers I was going to use anyway, but couldn't find the dang things.

The links seem to work for me.

It's crazy how quiet that thing sounds.  I have come to appreciate the quietness on a daily driver.

It looks really nice.  Really well built.

Thanks Mike, pretty darn happy with it. I guess one should be for that $$$.

For the Youtube links, I never can get them to embed directly in the post. I must be doing something wrong.

I just paste the link and the forum seems to do the rest.  Maybe it's tapatalks that does it.  Either way yours are embedded for me.

Well, as we know I have a bit of a problem.
I'll post pics next weekend, but....

SmittyBuilt 10k Winch with synthetic rope and hidden winch mount were picked up this week.

I've also ordered up a deadpedal.

The wife and I want to go do some exploring this summer, so I'll be kitting the truck up a bit in the direction of a overlander.

More details to come.

So basically the goal is to be able to explore some of the back country around here and head south to explore around Oregon. Should be fun, I'm really looking forward to it

I'm not going down crazy jeep trails and beating up the truck, but there are plenty of old logging roads and trails that we can tackle. I want to be able to get somewhere, set up camp and hang for a day or three.

We used to do a lot of camping, but mainly at camp sites or with a larger group if we were boon-docking/back country camping.

So far the list includes
- Winch and winch kit (straps, shackles, pullies, etc.)
- Bed rack system (jack, axe, flashlight, shovel, etc. mounting)
- Rotopax gas and water containers
- Bed rail cargo rack
- Roof top tent (to be mounted on the rail cargo rack system)
- Small genny (1000w Honda type thing)
- Usual camping stuff, which I already have but need to inventory
- Possibly looking at adding on-board air. Still not sure about this one.

I always intended to get a rotopax for the grizzly but never could bring myself to pay for one.  Not sure what they go for anymore.  I just want it in case I travel deeper in to trails than a half tank.  Haha.  Currently I just risk it but it can also cut your trip short if you turn back earlier than necessary to be on the safe side.

I know generators aren't cheap but I love the little Honda eu2000 generators.  We have 6 of them at work.  Simple enough to grab with one hand an walk off.  Ask the guy who stolen two of them out of our trailer in Philly while we were working.  And if you get one that has a companion you can hook them together to double your power.  I've done this for welding in a pinch and to run a coating sprayer powered by an electric air compressor.  Put it all on a wagon and wheeled it down to a remote area to get the job done.  Plus they're quiet enough at full throttle to hold a conversation over and even easier when we idle is turned on.
