Other than two Back-ordered parts, I should have everything today. The back orders are important chain tensioners, so I'm trying to see if I can re-use mine with new guides or find some somehow/somewhere.

I really want this thing back together by the end of the month. I have several business trips in May and so does Heather, so there won't be any real time for wrenching.

Back orders are rough anymore. There no telling when anything will be made available again.

Hopefully some of this gets into the truck tomorrow. Still going to make a last minute call on how to handle the back ordered tensioners.

Everything is cleaned and prepped. New seals/o-rings installed in everything and ready for assembly. I was able to get the cam sensors and oil pump swapped out too. I have the secondary chain tensioners on route from my engine builder and hope they get here before I’m back from a business trip this week.

Everything is back together and the truck runs well. Getting an O2 sensor code, that shouldn’t be related to the work I’ve done, so I’ll have to look into that.

Glad to hear it’s back together.

Could you just have a bad sensor?

Yeah, due to all the rough running and stuff it was running really rich before I fixed it. It could have easily taken out a sensor.

I’ll do some testing today and see if I can narrow it down.

Found a busted section of flex in the downpipe. Could be causing the Cel, but we’ll see. Stock downpipes back in for now, until I can find a solution.

That could do it.   That’s a really small section of flex pipe.  I can’t imagine it allows much flex at all which leads it to wearing out like that.  How necessary do you think it is to have that there as opposed to a solid piece?

Stock and some aftermarket are all solid, so possibly better to not have any flex there. I’m guessing that it just gives them a little give on tolerances.

After some serious cursing, the truck is back together. I got the stock pipes back in, only to find another exhaust leak where the adapter flange mates to the turbo housing. I had to pull the pipes back out and then proceeded to break off both studs in the turbo. I was not happy. I pulled the back half off the turbo, got it onto the bench and then drilled out and tapped the holes again. I broke 3 drill bits and wrecked one tap in the process.

It’s all nice and quiet now with no leaks and now I think I can finally get back to testing.

I ended up putting about 150 miles on the truck last night and did some data logging. Truck is running really well and the data looks good.

Now onto something that is actually important to this forum! I'm going to start to detail it today! Nothing super crazy, but it needs a good Spring clean up. Probably will just clay and maybe hit with a white pad and M205 or something to give the paint a cleaning and I MIGHT apply PoorBoys Ceramic coating, depending on how much time I have.

Awesome man.  I hate dealing with exhaust bolts of any kind.  Never goes well.

The truck got a quick clean up. Nothing crazy, but it had some lingering winter dirt that needed some attention.

Interior was vacuumed out, mats cleaned with some APC, glass cleaned and some light dressing applied.

Exterior was a basic waterless wash (just cleaned it a few days ago), meguiars clay bar with ONR as clay lube, a couple spots hit by hand with M105 and M205 and the a fast over the counter sealant. I’m going to need to do some touch ups and proper paint correction before I bother with a ceramic coating. Trim was hit with some exterior dressing.

Also got my custom RokBloks put on, very happy with how they turned out. Just a little longer than the originals and will protect the truck and my trailer much better.
