Hmmm, interesting. I wonder how the hood will affect the light output. I would think it would act as somewhat of a shield. You sure you don't want to mount it down closer to bumper height?

These mounts were designed to use the stock location on the hood hinges.  Its the perfect height so the window washer sprayers still hit perfectly on target.

I will see how it performs tonight.   Headed out to local church, they have a large field.

I like the idea.  Searched for a while for one for the TJs for my girls jeep.  Only downside really seems to be that the hood lights up too kind of negating some of the benefits of the light shining beyond it.

Isn't it kind of washed out by the 50incher?

Looks good though.  I'm waiting on the pricing of the Auroras.

I think you should expect the Auroras to be 2x of the current stuff by TJL.

Photos don't show the whole picture here.

But as Tom points out...even the 22 light is impressive.

My plan and what I am doing.   The 22 light I have aimed down to have the "SPOT" closer to the jeep.   I am using the 52" in a upward throw...meaning the "SPOT" is up higher on the horizon.

This is by design of how I am using the lights.  I want the 52" for very long field views, accross fields of Wheat and Hay.    I want the 22 aimed down more for ranch driving.

Together via the photos they seem redundant but in person it is exactly what I wanted.

I like it! The only thing I would do different is a matte black vinyl wrap on the hood to kill the reflected light off the painted hood.

That's a darn good idea!

Looks awesome RR, I am itching to get some LED's on the front of my truck.

Yea, but Vinyl is completely removable and it would make a huge difference in how much light gets reflected back up - and maybe back into your eyes.

Man, that thing sure puts out some light now!

My new 22" doesn't really hit the hood....the 52 over the cab is the one that lights up the hood...
