I'm getting jealous now.  I might need to make this happen soon.  I looked behind my grille today... it might be tight in there.  And im concerned with blocking air flow to the radiator.

Mike,

I've had driving lights behind the grill of my last 5 trucks - and never had a problem with lack of air flow to the radiator or transmission coolers. Go for it!

Tom

Tom. I hear ya.  This is a chevy though.  Haha.  Kidding aside that really is my concern.  The grille design... its split and a light bar will take up the majority of either the top half or bottom half. And I want a ~30" double row bar.

The double row bars that Texas Liberty sells use 3 watt CREE LEDs. The single row bars use the newer 10 watt CREE LEDs. That's why I went for the single row.

I like the look of the double row better.  The SR looks cheap to me.  Maybe that's just the pictures of it though.  The double row puts out more light.

Any idea what the dimensions are on the SRs?  They don't list them.  Aside from the length obviously.

I can get any specs you want...what are you looking for?   Height, depth etc?

Just tell me the SR bar you maybe interested in.

Thanks, Jason.  I imagine all of the SRs have the same dimensions.  Its just they're length that changes.  Maybe I'm wrong.  The two lights I was interested in are the Patriot 31.5 and the Patriot SR 30.

Mike,

My SR30 arrived today. I must say, it's a fine looking unit with a very high quality look and feel to it.  It looks like I will have to order a harness to make for a really clean installation though since the unit comes with a modular connector that I really don't want to hack off - and possibly void the warranty.

The dimensions are:

Width: 29 1/2"

Height: 2 1/4"

Depth: 2 1/4"

Let me see what I can do tomorrow after work. I'm beat beyond description and going to hit the sack as soon as my backup generator shuts down. (The power got knocked out by the 50 MPH winds today.)

That's what I needed to know, Tom.  Thank you.  I am curious though how those dimensions compare to the standard Patriot.

Guys

My camera shuts down b/c of how bright the lights are but a quick video of me headed back to house from the blind.

Texas Liberty SR52 light bar

We had the rancher from adjacent property call the house and ask what the hell was going on along the property fence line...they said they could see my lights from 2 miles way at their house.   LOL

Nice.  What's with the hot spot?  Is that because its a combo beam and that's the spot section we are seeing?  It looks off center.
