Polishing out Diamondplate
« on: August 26, 2008, 11:09:53 PM »
So... here's some options for you... Just thought I'd share some secrets...

Option 1: Rotary plus M105 or M95
Option 2: Powerball plus power polish
Option 3: Paste polish by hand
...........
Option 4: Go drop $100 on this stuff called Chief's Choice... GREAT stuff. Made by FF's for FF's. It is a spray on, agitate, rinse off material. I used it to do the Fire Apparatus and it is a snap. 4 gallons plus brush plus sprayer was ~$100. Sweet deal. Note that this gets off all deposits on the metal-- not swirling/marring. But to get a thick layer of crud off, this stuff is AMAZING. Our truck is a 1993 Freightliner. Never detailed. Until recently. Now it looks almost new.

Just a thought...
