Well thanks for the big welcome.. I'm Billy Lawson and I'm a Meguiar's Distributor (kinda sounds like an AA meeting intro)
I cover a 4 state region visiting and delivering Meguiar's products to Dealerships and detail shops in Missouri, Illinois, Indiana, and Kentucky. If I can help answer anything I'll do my best.

As far as AA meeting into, well...  We like to call it OCD, but that is the nice way of saying addiction, OCD makes it sound like there is nothing we can do about it. 
I know I can stop anytime I want.  I don''t know about Tom or Jason, they have a problem.

We have some overlapping sales turf, I'm in IL and also cover IN ( networking equipment, we're not competitors ).

Crazy Billy, while we have your attention, all kidding aside, welcome.  I do have a question about the new MF pads.  I seem to be shredding them using my 7424XP.   They seem to separate from the hook and loop after only a few uses.   Is this normal?

Crazy Billy, while we have your attention, all kidding aside, welcome.  I do have a question about the new MF pads.  I seem to be shredding them using my 7424XP.   They seem to separate from the hook and loop after only a few uses.   Is this normal?

I had a couple of folks (yes yes I'm from the south) tell me that they were having the same issue. My first question was when you pull it off the backing plate are you just grabbing the micro part instead of the whole pad because some of those hooks work a little too well. After they looked at me like I completely under minding their intelligence I exchanged their pads with a newer set and the problems have (so far) not appeared again. Meguiar's was wondering if they were pads was getting warm somehow.

Yup, I pull from the hook and loop and not the top off the pad.   I've had several separate.   

Not sure what to do about it...

I don't count ignoring vacuuming the house in favor of detailing the truck ADHD, I just call that "proper focus".
