Hey. Thanks for the welcome. I'm excited to learn the ways of the detailer. I've always washed/cleaned/maintained all of my own vehicles. And with some new paint and wheels on the truck I wanted to start going a bit deeper.

My wife got me a PC 7424xp and some pads for my birthday. I bought more pads and a LOT of meguiars and poor boys products at the recommendation of my brother. Now to put them to use.

I'm gonna try some light detailing this weekend on one of my cars this week and hopefully post some pictures.

Currently living in Grapevine, TX. But as I'm in the Air Force, there will be many moves in the future.

Welcome to the site.

I am starting to get the idea that TX is the center of the detailing universe with how many in the state have a detail shingle out, or are registered here  :redneck:

Yes Steve, and it's up to us - living in lesser states - to keep the faith. I am working on my Texas twang though - just to have some shred of credibility. Rosetta Stone really does help here.

Tom, it's not so much twang but more of a drawl.

Apparently that's on the next CD. I'm still struggling to get my "y'all" down.

haha. I'm a transplant Texan. Wasn't born here but I moved here from St. Louis to go to Texas Tech University, met a texas girl and settled on the Dallas area.

I'm gonna detail my classic mini this week and I'll post a thread on it. Then I have some paint correction that needs to get done on the ram. Probably gonna post a couple pictures of that as well depending on how it turns out. haha.

Just so you know, we have one basic rule here:

"Pics or it never happened."
And we've all been burned by it, so don't worry.  :redneck:
