6" pads for rotary
« on: July 22, 2012, 12:14:49 PM »
Is there anywhere to get 6" pads rather than the 8" pads that I currently have. They are the screw on type. I have a variable speed rotary from Harbor Freight. I know its not the best but it works for now.

Everything I have for both my DeWalt rotary and my Flex are 6 1/2" Meguiar's or Lake Country with the velcro style backing.

Any standard backing plate should work and allow you to buy better pads than that rotary comes with.

Check your rotary to make sure you have 5/8"  threads, if so you can order any rotary backing plate for it.

Lake Country and a few others make them

The DA plates have male threads on them in a different thread pitch ( smaller threads ).

If your rotary uses the M10 ( m8 ) threads for some reason, you are pretty much SOL, looking over seas for an adapter plate.
