Thanks for all of the birthday wishes guys. I wish I could tell you all sorts of tales of a drunken romp involving some wild blonde, but I elected to spend the day with my son working on his car. We got most of the mechanical repair and general service work done. The exterior detailing is just going to have to wait for a warmer day. Of course pictures of that drunken romp will appear here!

For all of my friends at TDC (You are my friends, right?) who offered my birthday wishes as I turned 55 yesterday, I have a few words of clarification:

- Contrary to popular belief, nothing fell off yesterday. (At least not anything I noticed.)

- I still haven?t brought myself to sign up for the AARP. (I am however experimenting with leaving my left blinker on whilst driving.)

- I didn?t actually feel any older. (Of course refusing to grow up probably helped.)

- I didn?t get a birthday cake - because the Fire Marshal wouldn?t issue a ?Controlled Burn Permit.? Bummer.

- I did lift up (and then immediately put down) my DeWalt rotary ? just to remind myself how much I hate that thing.

- I typed this up ? without dozing off! (Well, not more than a couple of times.)

Just wait until all of you turn 55. Hopefully I?ll still be around to poke good natured fun at all of you!
