Help Doc. I'm seeing spots!
« on: July 22, 2008, 01:16:44 PM »
The whole vehicle in general isn't really worth writing home about.  It's still pretty rough but they didn't want to spend any more money for the job.

The owner has a bad habbit of placing his truck between the sprinkler and the grass.  Maybe he thinks it's going to grow into a superduty if it gets enough water and direct sunlight.   ;D

However I was tickled with how the spots turned out.

Just washed, clayed, and Meg's #6.

Good job on removing those spots! I had to change parking myself because of the sprinklers trying to make my truck grow as well.

nice transformation...

Do I see some streaking in that or is that just light light?

Yeah, there was some streaking but that was from trying to get some #40 off that got on the paint and couldn't see it too well in the shade.  It was taken the rest of the way off after pictures and I had pulled it out into the sun so I could see better.

I lived in an appartment building onetime that had assigned parking places and after several complaints never did adjust a sprinkler to quit spraying my truck.  So after a half tube of silicone caulk was squirted into the sprinkler it never sprayed anything again.  LOL  they never noticed that, that sprinkler wasn't working anymore.

Still looks great though....sometimes my eyes get so fixated on looking at paint we end up seeing crazy things and to the normal joe they have no idea what they are looking at.   LOL

My wife says, it looks great, and I say, don't you see that streak mark?  She says no.

Good work...

I've seen a similar effect caused by over tunnel-washing with one of my clients.  Something with a light cut almost always quickly takes off those spots...

Again, great work on the truck!
