Okay I will look into the wheel brightner.  I thought about putting on some PP but was running out of day light.  If the in laws decide they want it I will probably call it good.

If I was in the truck buying market, I'd seriously consider it.

What cleaner works well for getting old brake dust off wheels?  It has little spots on the wheels that I couldn't get with just car wash soap.

Wheel Brightner works but PB Spray and Rinse is also very good.  They work a little differently.

Jason that's one of the products I picked up from Steve at the show.  Been itching to try it out.

It works really well.  My only beef with it, wish it was stronger so I could ratio it out and make it last longer.

But just like Megs WB, wash off the heads as soon as you are done with the 4th wheel.  Says you can cut it 1:1 after you have treated the wheels once...but with the EXPY, not a chance, it has to be full strength.  On the F250 that does work 1:1 but I haven't tired it yet.

It's a pretty decent truck cleaned up.  I like the leather it's a little different than what I'm use to.  What I personally like in this 01-03 body is a nice black or white one with a sharp set of 20" wheels and somewhat meaty tires like the Nitto Grappler's.  That is the look that I most prefer.  This one would look sharp with a nice set but I'm just about to the end of my truck budget with it.  :dope:

I would like to try one of those.  I've never really had to use anything because all of my cars have been kept up and never any accumulation.  I saw today at my local AutoValue a gallon of Megs WB for around $23-$24.

A product that I've been using a lot on wheels with terrible brake dust is Surf City  Beyond Steel Wheel Cleaner.  This product is completely safe if it gets on your paint, plastics, and won't turn your tires brown.  Beyond Steel really surprised me with how well it works.

That's actually what I've been using on my wheels, Beyond Steel.  Aluminum is touchy and reacts horrible with certain chemicals.  It does a god job if used regularly.  I agitate (not really scrub but just make a pass over like it was paint) with a dedicated mitt and then rinse.  It didn't do squat after not touching them for a full winter of use but then nothing else did either.  Just a lot of polish and elbow grease.  Oh and steel wool.
