Hey thanks!  I think that I've concluded that the tailgate is in need of much dent removal and repainted.    Just trying to keep my cost down on it.

*UPDATE*  Folex is magical!!!  Best stuff I have personally used on carpet.  With little effort carpet looks much better.

yes, the Folex is great...with that parchment carpet....be sure and check it again when dry, the outside areas may need a little more spray.

I have an idea, drive that KR down here and lets get to it?  Same some time. What doyathink?

Its warmer........

Pa is more in the middle.

You have to excuse RR.  He thinks just because he can take off to go camping whenever he wants that others can take off from work too.  Some of us need to work.  Kidding ofcourse.

OK, it's a deal. You provide the location. Tdub provides the truck. I provide the products (and humor) and Jason provides the expertise and funding for our bar bill. When do we meet?

OK, change in plan. We'll all meet at RP's new residence. Based on the pictures, he's got enough room in the west wing for us to all stay.

Hahaha.....  I'm off work so I don't have a strict schedule right now.  :bike:

That is a long haul no matter how you look at it to get your truck detailed.  :redneck:

I was at the sale yesterday all day so I haven't done anything since the carpet Wednesday. Not to mention it's a whopping 37 out right now!!

I have a nice 3 stall heated garage here in western Kentucky if you and RR want to meet in the middle.

Thought I would post some progress pics. It has been pretty chilly here lately so I haven't been able to get out as much to work on it as I hoped but boy what a fun color to work on! What I have done though is a quick buff (except tailgate) with a white CCS and  2.5 followed by a pass with a black pad and 2.5 then black pad with BH.  I topped it with a coat of QD+ as I was taking it over to show my father in law ( he may want to buy it already) so I wanted that extra "pop sniz dizzle".  It's cleaning up pretty decent really, a few dents that were fixed have no hope but other than that not bad.

I need to start experimenting with some SSR1 and other products.  I have been using the same combo all summer.  Need to order more pads too....

Before

After

Here is one "sona" treatment and some cheap Megs conditioner that I had laying around....

Still needs lots more work though!  :hp:

No I haven't done the wheel wells yet... I know you were thinking it!

What cleaner works well for getting old brake dust off wheels?  It has little spots on the wheels that I couldn't get with just car wash soap.

Looks like you're on the right track.  Definitely looks like it could benefit from SSR1 or PP though.  For he wheels, as long as they're not raw metal megs wheel brightener works wonders.  Clay helps too but throw it out afterwards.  Or keep it strictly for wheels.
