Another White car
« on: July 09, 2008, 05:17:33 PM »
So while waiting for the baby....I knocked out Grandmas car.

It was pretty bad.  Has lots of scratches and stuff I cannot get out due to door dings etc.  It's pretty paint called Pearl.

My process.

APC+wheels and wells
Wash, SuperSoap, two buckets and Gilmore Foam thingie.
Clay with Megs Blue (didn't want to waste my PB Clay)  some spots I had to pull out the purple clay
SSR3 with Yellow Lake CCS pad for scratches (Man that pad is crazy on the cut)
Then SSR1 with White Lake VC pad, entire car
Menzerna Micro Polish with Green Finishing pad, LC CCS (Tried the jeweling technique descrbed by Dan)
Nattys White LSP
BlackWow on all outside trim
HD whees and wells

Engine:
APC+, followed by HD including Crowl (SP)

Interior:
vac'd
Folex on spots and floor matts
PB NLD everywhere
Stoners on all glass
PB Leather Stuff on all seating

Ok that's about it.

Not the best photos...but it was fun

RR

Ya white looks good clean but I personally feel that a clean dark vehicle will catch my attention and hold it longer then a clean white car. But I can say nothing beats a CLEAN VEHICLE!

JP,

You did two tough things very well here. First, you made white pop - and you know what my favorite color is! Second, you actually found a way to photograph white and show the pop. You know what I went through trying to get some shots of my truck after tons of effort. As usual, another great effort from one of the masters!
