Cheap #16
« on: August 28, 2009, 07:09:19 AM »
In case you missed it on the other site there is a person on ebay dropping a ton of Meg's #16 dirt cheap.  $9/can with free shipping.
I kinda worry about them being frozen, seperated, dryed out etc... but shipped to my house for $9/can I'll risk it for a couple cans.  100% feedback so should be legit.  If I knew they were good for sure I'd buy more.  He has more than one acution up in case you run accross one that has ended.  Supposed to have something like 250 cans to sell.
$9 doesn't even pay for shipping from that place in Canada.

I think I paid something like $20 a tin from Rockpick for mine, but I feel good knowing it will help finance his daughter's college education.

Exactly why I wanted to get the word out.  I think I paid about $30 for the one I have.  I bought two this morning so there should still be some for sale on his auctions.

You guys will tell us what actually shows up, right? At those prices, I've almost got to wonder. If it's the real deal, you're going to be in fat city.

I missed that sale. I think #16 is still one of the best water beading waxes.

I grabbed two tins and they came quick and work just fine.  put it on three vehicles a couple weeks ago.
I find that personaly I can control the application of #16 much better with a MF applicator as opposed to a foam applicator to prevent the dreaded putting #16 on too thick.

Anyway, you haven't missed the sale completely.  It's not $10 anymore but is $14 till the 30th.  Can also make an offer.  He still has 88 listed as available.  Still thinking of picking up a few more tins so that I'll never have to worry about running out again.  lol

What is better about this wax than others?
You're only here for a little while, do it while you can.

If I remember correctly #16 is a blend of wax and the durability is long.

I like the way it looks on a variety of colors and materials.  I have used it on dark green, light gree, and maroon cars, blue and red quads, and on wheels, exhaust tips, etc...

I have lsp's that I think look better.  But I use it mainly before winter for it's very long durability while still giving me looks.  Beads like a $500+ wax.  I know it's a trivial thing and proobably has no bearing on protection, but I just love to watch a car bead like crazy in the rain.  lol

Though it is very hard to use, unless it's put on very very thin.

on a side note: I seem to get fewer rub marks while off road from bushes and such with #16.
