cool thanks for posting that up this is the best picture i have for now untill i do the detail sorry the car is locked up in my friends garage. Any general advice would b greatly apprecatied sorry for putting you all on the hook. :dope:

I would highly suggest just giving it a good wash and clay, then post some more photos. With old paint, it's possible to do more damage than good if you're not sure what you're working with.

it has enamel paint not laquer and i would use a non-abrasive polish after claying like the PwS you just got ...use a polishing pad or even a finishing pad, no cutting pads as you don't know how much paint is actually left ...

I did some research and the paint is PPG color Medium Lime Poly, and its an Acrylic Lacquer. The darker green in that year was Acrylic enamel.

They had 3 different kinds of paint in 1970 for ford. We appreciate the help, atleast it gives us a starting point.

Iam going to call him tommrow afternoon to see if he got the converter. I called him today and he didnt get it back yet. Ill give you a call tommrow afternoon. :call:
