Sorta of soiled carpet?
« on: April 07, 2009, 01:30:47 PM »
What do you guys suggest using on carpet that isn't in bad shape but just want to keep it looking fresh? I have been just using hot water and a MF as I don't want to leave soap residue in the carpet.  I have black carpet in both vehicles.

You're only here for a little while, do it while you can.

I use a little green machine from bissel.  It's not very expensive at all as far as shampooers go and for the price works quite well.  I used to pay for the expensive bissel chemicals with it but APC+ 10:1 works just as well in it and is much much cheaper.

I'll agree with CSAD here and add one more step. With my LGM, I do exactly what he does, then follow it up with straight hot water as a rinse - which I also vacuum up with the machine.
