Title: CarPro Reload
Post by: Too Stroked on May 29, 2023, 04:31:36 PM
I ceramic coated both the 4Runner and the xB about 2 years ago with CarPro CQuartz UK 3.0. The coating has been holding up very well on both vehicles, but I was contemplating re-coating after a full detail on each of them. Then I remembered that I had a bottle of their Reload product that came with one of the ceramic coating kits. Hell, why not give it a try rather than spending a whole day with the other process.

So, yesterday I gave the 4Runner a good bath followed by a 50/50 alcohol / water wipe, then applied the Reload according to the instructional videos. Truth be told, it went on really quickly. The only nit I might pick is that one has to be really, really carful to check for full removal after flash off so as to avoid streaking of the product. Other than that, super glossy finish with a pretty slick feel. We'll see how long it last before I have to do a full recoat.

Why did I take all of the pictures in semi-shade? Because I tried taking them in direct sunlight and the damn truck just reflected too much sunlight back at me. It was literally blinding.

It’s so satisfying to see such a clean vehicle.  It looks great.  Not they any of us would expect anything less.  Just Inc though it would be nice if you came here with a problem you couldn’t figure out or an oops moment to remind us you’re still human.

You mean like when I dropped and spilled the bottle of Reload right after the last panel?
