one thing that my not be mentioned and could be overlooked by people is the cord. when using a machine and reaching over the hood or roof you need to be mindfull of the cord as it will drag across the fender/hood/or door.
tip:
if you are right handed pass the electric cord of the machine under the left arm from behind, then go up and over the shoulder, then go behind the neck and bring the cord over the top of the right shoulder. you can use a rock climbing clip on you belt loop on your left hip and clip it to the cord and to your belt loop of your pants. this should keep the cord off of your fresh work...if you try to just toss it over the one shoulder, it tends to fall from time to time and you are doing the electric cord dance every time you reach or bend down....many users of machines have a way they like to keep their cords in check, but this is a suggestion for some to try if they still have problems, or a tip/trick for someone that is new to using a machine.

Man, great tip, I use the over the shoulder method, no more...going to use my old Chanard Black Diamond biners now!!! Been looking for a good use for them. !!
I knew all the money I spent in gear back in college would pay off in the future.

That is a really good idea! :clap:
I'm set though as far as keeping the cord out of my way and off the work... I have outlets in the ceiling above each garage bay, and have installed 'cord keepers' (light weight springs) which will hold the cord up in the air!

I use the shoulder toss method... as well as a DF Towel cord sock.
