Itís like Christmas morning.  This must be how my nephew feels watching that little Asian kid on YouTube unbox and play with toys.

The game plan is to get this hard parts in after a camping trip planned that's coming up (Feb 11th and 12th). I've already been working with the tuner and he plans to have a base file ready for me next week. It's friggen cold out here, so tuning will be a challenge unless I rent a Dyno. So I may have to call a couple of places to see what they would charge for 4-5 hours.

Geoff requested that I tackle this first without the bigger injectors. So hopefully we can still get close to the 600whp mark and then go from there.

I told you that you and the Mrs. just need to come up for a visit and then take it to go explore Canmore, Banff and Lake Louise.

Thatís awesome and at the same time, Iím not so sure I want to be responsible for that thing.  I will make it up there eventually though and wouldnít mind someone showing me a spot or two.

And here I thought I couldn't leave things well enough alone! :redneck: If that truck wasn't enough of a beast already that thing is going to be stout when you're done with it.

I think that other than some minor stuff and maintenance, this is about it. The plan was to get 10 years out of it and it will be 8 years next month.

Tires and couplers for the turbos showed up. Tires are getting mounted on the 18s tomorrow and now I just need some clamps before I can start the turbo install.

So you had a 10 year plan with the truck and youíre about finished with it on year 8.  So the plan for the remaining time is to mostly leave it alone and just enjoy it the way it is for two more years?  Whatís the plan after that?  How do you move on from something like that?  Iíve never put so much time and effort in to a vehicle.  And is there a market for it if you want to move on from it and get something else?  If you were to get rid of it today and had to replace it with something tomorrow, what would you get?

Great Questions!

Well, I thought I was gonna be done with it in year 5, lol.

Basically, I just want to do some maintenance stuff and fix a few things like the flaking running boards and some other cosmetic stuff this spring/summer and then just drive it until I decide it's time.

When it's time, I'll probably poke around and see if there is any interest to buy it the way it is. If not, I'll set it back mostly to stock and then sell off some stuff. It would either be a private sale or a trade in, depending on what my Cousin would give me for it.

Right now, there are two vehicles I could see replacing it but that might change. One is the 3rd Gen Raptor. I really like them, but man it's a lot of cash. I probably wouldn't be able to afford to do much to it which isn't necessarily a bad thing. The other is to do the new Tremor F150 with the 5.0. I could then do a full Raptor Swap on it (suspension, fenders, and so on) and supercharge it.

I think the only thing outside of that, I would do is possibly just hang onto this truck for daily duties and get a 3/4 or 1 ton. I could then look at a larger trailer. Hard to say right now, but something else could come up that catches my eye. I like the prices of the TRX around here, but it is a miserable gas hog of a truck.

If it were to disappear today, I would probably jump in a F150 Tremor.
