That truck looks so good!  Those interior shots are so satisfying.

Almost done wrapping up the tuning on 91 octane. Should be onto 93 next week. I’m really curious to see if we will run out of injector, but have the bigger injectors on standby if needed.

A couple of parts should be here next week to replace some stuff that just isn’t working as well as I would like.

I even pulled the trailer on the 91 performance tune on Monday and it held temps and boost very well, I was kinda surprised actually. These bigger turbos are making the same power with less boost and making less heat for sure. I’m seeing better timing advance to boot.

Same power on less boost… can you increase the boost then and make more power reliably?  Do they spool up and provide power similarly or is there a little more lag?

Yes, that is the idea overall for why I’m doing this. I should be able to make more HP on straight gas, then mixing ethanol with the previous set up.

There is certainly a trade off though, these turbos need some revs to make full boost. It’s certainly not a deal breaker as they still spool pretty quick, just not as wicked fast as the raptor turbos.

Can you even see what you’re doing up there. In Canada right now.  Our air quality from the Nova Scotia fire is terrible.  Can’t see but maybe a half mile and it smells awful.  I know the Banf area had a major fire as well.

We had some terrible smoke last month and there are still fires around, but the smoke seems to be minimal lately. Wind is blowing in the right direction I guess.

New Downpipes showed up yesterdays, now I gotta get them in, lol. Geoff sent me some extra parts he had in case I wanted to do a set of true duals.

I don’t usually have extra parts until I’m done reassembling things.

Yeah that looks pretty terrible. We had a few days where the kids couldn’t even go out at recess due to poor air quality.

I can’t imagine being close to it or even in and around it.  Two days after we brought Maddie home from the hospital we got a knock on the door from the neighbor.  There was a big brush fire behind our house heading our way.  Her husband is a firefighter.  I didn’t want to leave because I didn’t want to feel helpless but Cassie couldn’t drive yet and our house was filling with smoke so we packed up the baby and dogs and went to her parents until they got it under control and the house cleared up.

Holy chit that must have been a pretty daunting situation!

We went for a little drive into the mountains a couple weeks ago and saw some pretty big fires. Thankfully the weather cooled a little and we got some rain which helped a ton.

I hope Cassie and the wee one are doing good!

Cassie and Madelyn are doing great.  Maddie is just being a baby and doing baby things.  Super frustrating one second and calm, content, peaceful and full of cuteness the next.  It sucks right now because our air quality is so bad and she’s so young we have to be careful.  She’s kind of restricted to being in the house for the most part.

I don’t know if everyone follows the same standard for air quality.  This is how they have it listed here.  We are currently sitting at 416.  I feel like crap because I work outside.  It’s brutal out and we are far from being the most affected.  NYC is on another level of bad right now.  The pictures their showing on the news is crazy considering how far away the fires are.
