Thanks for all the help! (a few before and after close ups)
« on: March 30, 2009, 04:28:38 PM »
Too many are responsible to name...I owe much to many so I would like to say thanks for the help and encouragement.
I posted these photos on F150online but this site is responsible.
Thanks ESF for the invite.

Washed with DoDo Juice Born to be mild.
Then I used M105/orange LCC 5.5" pad,
followed by Poli-Seal/white LCC 4" pad,
followed by Opti-Seal,
followed by Meguiars Deep Crystal Step 3,
followed by DoDo Juice Blue Velvet.
You can make money or you can make excuses but you can't do both.

RR & JP,

When you see results like that based on advice somebody got from this site, it's got to make you feel good. That's one more truck that will truly turn heads where ever it goes. Keep it up!

Oh yea, and Old Dogg, very, very nice! You've got to feel pretty good too.

I don't think I can claim any help on that detail but you're right this site works.

Keep it up!

Thanks,
yes I feel good to know it's much better but I feel dumb as hell it took so long to learn correctly.
Looks great man. Feels nice doesn't it? Like RR asked me way back in the day - have you noticed the heads turning yet?
Yes life is good and I get plenty of looks but there are Haters everywhere.  Women...why cant you do that to my car?  Family...Is that something new?...What are you doing to your truck so long...you shure spending a lot of time working on your truck? :sblah:
Wow. 105 with an orange pad is LSP ready....
No not really...
I did 3 passes with 105... 2 passes with the 105/orage 5.5" pad then 1 pass barely touching the surface (as per product instructions) followed by 2 passes with Poli-Seal (not an LSP)/white 4" pad....then LSP's
I don't think I can claim any help on that detail but you're right this site works.
Yep you helped on my detail and knowledge.  Like many here you lead by example.
Thanks.

Great thread, now lets do another one!!!

Now that you have your paint mostly corrected, you can tone down the plan of attacked and probably maintain it using somethign lighter, PB PP, SSR1, Megs205, Optimum Polish, Poli-Seal etc...

My issue is that I tend to marr my own paint by too much QD'ing.  I "think" I have managed to scratch the LSP...I know that sounds dumb.  I gotta stop QD'ing so much.  LOL

Yeah I thought I was ready to tone down but...I did my roof last and the G110 cord bumped here and there so now I have a new problem to fix and now that I know how to look I see new swirls and holograms everywhere.

Have you everf used Optimum Polish II?
I really like Optimum products and was thinking of getting some instead of M205 when I order some ONR.

There's also an Optimum Finish Polish.  I'd really like to try that out.  Justin said he should get some in next time he orders from Optimum so I'm going to pick some up then.
