Did you pick up the UQW at Wally World?

LOL, didn't know you could get it there...I bought it from ADS on my last order.

I don't know if you can get it there either.  :hammer:

Since my truck only has Opti-Seal on it at the moment, I was thinking of picking some up and doing a little testing.

Just kidding.

Happen to go in the garage last night, this caught my attention so I thought I would take a photo of it.   They look better in person though.
I does look wet in there. :NW:
OCW is just so easy in that you don't have to buff it off that even if it doesn't give the protection that UQW does,
I thought 1 application of OCW lasts up to 5 months?

Maye if you apply it to the vehicle and pull it in the garage and leave it there for 5 months.  I really like the look it gives though after a wash though.

I think I got my UQW from Target.

So what are you saying...
All of Optimum's sealant, wax products,  claim months of protection.

Saddam claimed he received 99% of the votes in his elections too...  :sblah:

I have and used OCW and it didn't give me months of protection, few weeks, sure, but months? No.
UQW gives the same lasting protection (for me) but slightly easier application (OCW could at times streak, or require a second application to remove spots if sprayed directly onto the paint, UQW does not).

UQW also has superior water sheeting. UQW = win in my book. Shame, I JUST bought a gallon of OCW too... lol

I'm only talking about OCW.  Not any of Optimums other products.  I don' think their claim i wrong bu rather a little misleading.  I think they're referring to if conditions were absolutely perfect and you didn't need to wash or anything for that 5 months that it would probably last.  But that's prety unreasonable.

I love UQD - except the price. It has some weird lint/dust repelling abilities. I used it on my truck for a while, and was amazed at how little I needed to QD it between washes.

That also started my questioning of whether using a dryer causes un-due static charging of towels, which in turn transfers to the paint/wax. I've yet to test my theory by line-drying them though.

Little off-topic, sorry.

You can get it from wally world i just did along with swirlx, ultimate compound, and scratch x 2.0.

Now it's time to start wetsanding and messing around on these scrap hoods  :hs:

you should do an experiment on how long it takes you to wetsand through the clear.

No he hasn't had a chance to apply it yet.  That's what he means by the garage is a mess.

We were talking about UQW aka Ultimate Quik WAX, which is different than UQD.

That said, if you want UQD at a lower price, buy the professional version known as M135 by the gallon. Different scent, but same product.
