Well I just got back from the body shop and its going to cost me about 650 to 700 buck to have the skull caps and handles painted and badges shaved off the truck as long as they have the truck. I think I am going to get this done I just need to talk to the boss about it first.

I got estimates on what it is going to cost to fix the damages and get the extra's done at the same time. Its going to cost the insurance 1200 to fixe the doors and blend the fenders. Its going to cost me 610 for all the extras which isnt to bad and the wife said yes so thats going to get done as well. I will post pics when it gets out of the shop in few weeks.

Why are you shaving the fender badges?

They have to take them off to blend from the door to the fender so I am just going shave them off. That and I really like the look of no badging on the side of the truck.

You should lose the FX4 stickers as well then.

Good point but I can do those with a hair dryer at home and then polish it out.

The truck goes in on Monday and I start ordering my other parts sometime next week. I am going to do wheels, exhaust, Whelen 4 corner strobe kit, and some recon smoked clearance lights on the roof and in the mirrors.

Is it just the light or does it fade to a lighter color grey in the front?  It looks much better without the badges and decals.  Love the mirrors and clearance lights too.  I the grille guard going back on or no?  It looks really nice without it.  Harley heads will really compliment the smoked tails you have planned.  What kind of wheels do you have in mind?

Thanks for the complment. I didnt notice that while I was taking the pictures but that looks like it may be where they blended into the old paint on the door. I dont know if I am going to get to the wheels or not this time around because I have $800 invested in paint work which is more than I thought it was going to be. I am going to do something with the heads and tails but I am just not sure which direction I want to go yet. The brush guard is not going back on the truck because I cant stand it but I may put a light bar on the front with four lights at some point but I am not sure. I have tint, whelen strobes, heads and tails, stereo, CB and quite a few other things I want to do to it and I am just trying to figure out what I can live with out right now. :drunk:

Looks like a new truck.
Did they touch up all the scratches all over for that price?

Thanks, they did touch up all the scratches on it while they had it. The body shop manager and I were talking about everything they have done to the truck so far and she said that the hole truck has been repainted so far with the exception of the right bed side and the roof. I cant wait to get the truck detailed in sixty days and get some close ups of the paint because it looks like you can jump into it right now because it is so deep and I cant imagine what it will look like with a really good polish on it.
