« on: March 10, 2009, 10:26:56 PM »
i work on cars fro a living so i thought i would as my tool guys to help me out getting a PC    no dice they dont carry them but they do carry dewalt and makita

So i found this makita kit on the Snap-on truck   and askeed how much

he wanted 429.00  when you can get the kit for 199 on line how crazy is that mark up

it was this same exact kit  extras and all included
btw  the dewalt was on 179 and came with nothing

Remember... that Snap-On truck isn't cheap.  :)  He has to pay for it some how...

I love my Snap-On tools, but one really has to be careful when the exact same stuff is available elsewhere. For instance one can buy Gear Wrench products from the Snap-On guy for about twice the price as anywhere else. My Snap-On guy's explanation? "I'll replace anything you break." Hmmm, so will Gear Wrench. I bought mine at Sears instead.

The thing is though he'll just hand you a tool and you go on. to get it replaced somewhere else you have to fill out warranty cards, wait, etc. My guy has replacement tools for you right there on the truck.

I was saying for wrenches, sockets, "prybars", stuff like that.

I don't blame you going somewhere else for a polisher  :agree:
