M26 on top of NXT/21
« on: December 22, 2008, 05:52:36 PM »
Well it is time for me to detail my truck, (I haven't been able to since august because I was at school) but for my lsp I was planning on putting 26 on top of NXT or 21. My question about this is will this reduce the durability. I need to put a durable layer of wax on because I won't have time while at school to detail my truck. If it will reduce durability I think I would be better off just doing 2 layers of NXT or 21 with 12 hours apart.

Any advantage of 26 over a synthetic?

#26 *will not* hinder the protective abilities of NXT or #21.

While it's not going to add a lot of protection, it won't hurt the cause.  Rather, what you may note is that it will deepen and further darken the paint above and beyond the 'look' of NXT or #21.

NXT/#26 remains as one of my favorite combos...

Well since this is my limited time of detailing (Christmas break) I was thinking that when I detail my car, that doing 2 coats of NXT to ensure uniform rage, then follow that by 2 coats of 26. It kinda sounds like overkill but I miss detailing haha. Another question too, would using m07 before NXT cause any problems with the oils and the polymers bonding? I thought I hear something about this a while back?

Now only if it would stop raining so I could get to work!!!
