Funny looks...

Goofy story from yesterday. Since I'm only partially done with my truck's detail due to lack of time it's sitting in the garage all taped up and waiting until friday. Well, yesterday my fiancee wanted to go get a bike (bicycle) but as it wouldn't fit in the Mazda we took the truck to go around the corner to the bike shop. I didn't want to waste $3 worth of tape so I just left it on. And wow....some of the blank expressions and expressions of utter confusion from other drivers was absolutely priceless. Picture a big black truck with lime green tape....all over, including all the way around on the tonneau cover.

The best reaction I got was when we were exiting the store, with the newly purchased bike, and I saw a family park behind my truck. They all got out of their van and stood together next to my truck just staring. I don't know if they were staring at their mirror image reflecting off my beautifully polished tailgate or all the green tape around the F-150 and Ford emblems...  :hammer:

What's worse is when you have to drive down the street in a partially dissasembled vehicle getting ready for paint. I vividly remember my first car missing both doors, fenders, hood, and bumpers and driving it down the street. I guess most people just imagined that I was a punk kid trying to be cool.
