Speaking of tint, my truck windows in the front have a red tint to them when looking from the inside out.  I hate it.  It’s subtle but it messes with my depth perception.  I need to have them retinted with my guy I usually use.

I can’t handle tint with “color” in it. Gotta be jet black, lol.

Yeah.  It’s not as bad as it sounds.  It’s ever so subtle but it’s enough to change the hue on everything.  It’s especially noticeable in the sky.  It seems to have a flattening affect though where everything you’re looking at looks two dimensional.  They look normal from the outside.  I just want to ceramic tint it to match.

So did you do the reverse lights too?  I want to swap to all LED but haven’t pulled the trigger yet.  The dually fender lights don’t seem to pop and stand out enough in the mirror so I feel like it’s a matter of time before I clip one on something.

Yeah, I did the reverse bulbs as well. They are not on the level of a set of cubes or anything, but a massive improvement over the original halogen bulbs. You can see the difference in the rear view camera at night.

Before you jump to LEDs, you may want to read this thread by a friend of mine who really knows his stuff on lighting. I went with his recommendations on everything in my Tacoma and he was spot on. This thread is just on reverse lights though. And if memory serves me correctly, your Ford dually uses the same 921 bulbs as a Tacoma.

I have the license plate light bar from VLeds.  I love it.  But I think I just want to do a complete LED overhaul so everything looks crisper and cleaner.  I think the only thing LED on the truck are the dually fender lights and cab lights.  I think both could be upgraded though to something nicer.  I mentioned tint in another thread.  I think my current tint is a problem as far as seeing the dually fender lights clearly.

Spent a few minutes on it during a “mental” break after a 5 hour meeting.

Peeled off the dealer badge (sorry cuz) and the explorer badge off the hood.

A little at a time.  I have never once looked at one of those dealer stickers and gave it another thought.  I really think they’re a waste.  I’m sure there is some research out there that proves it’s beneficial.

I was taking the back roads home from Walmart today.  Actually they are all backroads but that’s besides the point.  I looked out over the farm land and realized it was a perfect opportunity to show the tint.  It looks harsher when compared directly to the windshield like this.  I should have tried to include the back window as well but this was very impromptu.  Keep in mind you can’t tell at all from the outside.  It’s nearly identical to the factory tint.

Heck ya, that looks really purple/red in the picture. Almost like old school tints that fade in the sun. I would have to get that changed.

Prepped the front clip for the PPF appointment on Tuesday.

Mild clay with QD to make sure the paint was clean before correction. A little bit of “rail dust” was about it.
M101 with a 3.5” pad for spot correction. Followed by M205 on a white pad.

Came out pretty good overall.

It’s the “Ford Performance” version. So basically a sport package with some more power, etc.
