Custom tune loaded up and whipped intercooler on order.

Still waiting on the lowering springs, they are taking forever

The tune was free, thanks to a friend who tunes and the intercooler was on a very small, but enticing sale, so I jumped on it.

I’m holding off on getting and wheels and tires. The wife saw one with black wheels and really liked it. I want to steer away from black, but it’s her car so we’ll see.

Let’s get a petition started to change the color of the wheels.  Haha

I like the wheel.  It’ll look good.  It’s just that color that Im not personally a fan of.  To each their own.

Bought the set from market place for less than a grand, so we’ll try them out. Being 22’s, I am thinking they may ride a little rough, but we’ll give them a shot. The tires are too small, so the proper size are on order and we’ll mount them up.

If we don’t mind the ride, I’ll wait for them to get curbed and then see if I can convince her to try a different color and get them powder coated. IMO, even a gloss black would look better than the matte black on this car.

Sounds like a good deal for them.  In which way are the tires small?  Too narrow or too low profile?

Just the wheels are over $2k up here, so I was fine with swapping tires and selling these ones and recouping some funds.

Tires currently are 265’s and these wheels need a minimum of 285’s. I would do 295’s, but they aren’t available in the tire I want.

The guy wanted the “stretched” look.

And folks with the stretched look wonder why they have so much curb damage.  :om:

Whipple intercooler installed. I took my time as I didn’t want to break something or forget something.

I have to grab some screenshots of the logs, but big improvement with intake temps. The stocker was 10 rows and the new one is 33 rows, big size difference.

Ford used rivets to hold the bottom of the louvre assembly, so after drilling them out, I just used rivet nuts and bolts to re-assemble.

Nice! I'm assuming that your wife asked for this performance upgrade?  :redneck:

After looking at the datalogs, she specifically stated that the Intake temps were too high with her stock intercooler.... :uugly:

285’s mounted up on the 22’s. Just waiting for the proper lug nuts to show up before I can mount them.

They are way better then the 265’s visually, but the rim is still slightly exposed. 295’s would have been perfect, but can’t get them in the tire I wanted.
