Haha! Guess I should have mentioned all of that. I went completely old school and applied everything by hand:
Cadillac:
Wash with Meguiars Gold Class and a few ounces of Optimum No Rinse
Pinnacle Clay Bar on the lower rocker panels and rear hatch
Very light polish with Pinnacle Advanced Finishing Polish
Hand wax with Pinnacle Souveran Paste
Color is Dark Granite Metallic; same color was offered on Suburbans and Yukons (and probably others too) with different names. GM means it when they say metallic. It has tons of flake in it. My daughter says it looks sparkly.
Volvo:
Wash with Meguiars Gold Class and a few ounces of Optimum No Rinse
Pinnacle Clay Bar on the lower rocker panels and rear hatch
Very light polish with Pinnacle Paintwork Cleansing Lotion
Hand wax with Pinnacle Souveran Paste
Color is Denim Blue. Very little metallic flake. Car is less than a year old so I didn't really have much to correct other than a couple of light scratches that were no doubt caused by my kids taking their swim bags out of the cargo area.
I know it goes against all of the modern coatings and synthetic products out there, but I really like the Souveran wax. Every application makes the paint look much deeper. I will probably second coat both some time this week as they are just sitting in the garage.
On a serious note, I hope that everyone is staying safe and healthy. We are hunkered down and not going anywhere. I've set up an office in my dining room and am doing my best to serve my clients. My wife and kids are getting on each other's nerves!
