Got to tinkering.    Pulled grill again and made some tweeks.....20 year old Dremel died half way through.   Was using it to mod the brackets so one side of the lights would sit more level.

OK, I have to be the turd in the punch bowl...  :dope:

Is that all plastic that you are mounted to ?
- It looks like it is.

I was looking at this for 5 min this evening, and think you might want a plate under it to add support to those bolt heads.

I am thinking vibrations creating spider cracks in the grille..

This is conjecture camouflaged as I know what I am talking about.. :redneck:

Hey I get what you are saying but this stuff is pretty beefy and these lights are not very heavy.   What you don't see is that flat washer under the nuts.   So its not just a bolt and a nut.   The top is an "L" bracket and is 1.5 by 1 inch, then a large washer and nut.   I will be monitoring it.   Takes me about 10 min to pull the grill.

At least you were thinking about it in advance.

Alright gents, I got to tinkering, just ordered a 20" light bar mount for my front bumper so I can mount my old 20" Aurora SR light bar I took off the Jeep....and got a relocation bracket for the front license plate.  I am going to be that asshole with 40K+ raw lumens facing forward.   LOL .

When you get it installed, you can face north-east and I can face south-west and we'll both turn everything on. I figure we'll light up most of the mid-section of the country. I find mine priceless when I'm driving around in the middle of nowhere.

Some cleaned truck shots.   Of the lights rather.

They do look good in there.  I'm in awe at how clean that chrome looks.  That's just not something you see around here right now.  Mine are so far from looking like that, they might as well be painted.

Thank you sir, I am still futzen with them some.  I don't like the driver side focal point.  Need about 1/8 more adjustment.

Well, this was a shot gun cleaning....we have more rain chances this week, and I needed some cleaner photos, so I knocked it out.  I don't need to go anywhere for a few days so I hope I can miss the rain.   She is all tucked in and warm in the garage.   BUT that all said, my chrome isn't super clean, I still had bug residue on there I just didn't get it cleaned up enough.   Needed these for Matthew over at offbrand.

Looks like they were custom made for that truck. Nice, clean, professional looking installation!

Thanks Tom

Got the 20 bar brackets intoday....wlep...I gotta pull the front bumper to do the install.   Was really hoping that wouldn't be the case.   So my project is now on hold until this weekend.

JP,

If the current generation Super Duty is anything like the previous one, pulling the front bumper is a piece of cake. You will need two people due to the weight / bulk though.

I watched a couple videos on it, only major issue i see is the block heater power line...it has to be disconnected and I don't see where that line goes....the fog lights too have to be disconnected.   I can see that conector but the other one is hidden behind the bumper or something.  That maybe the last thing I have to find once loose.  I am mildly worried about lining it back up, there is a seal on the corners of the bumper that seal up to the bottom of the head lights.

So the license plate relocation?  That just lowered it some?

That's a whole lotta light up front.  I like it.  What's with the channel lock in the tow hook?
