Yes, trust me, I have thought about it.

Right now the next big purchase will be a lift or a drone. I may have to flip a coin once I have the funds set aside.

Just going to leave this here... Skydio 2.  Probably the best tracking drone out.

I was actually look at them. They seem to be tough to get North of the Border. I've reached out to a couple local Drone shops and they are seeing what they can do. I can always ship it state-side and pock it up.

I'm not %100 sure though if I go with this or the Mavic 2 zoom (similar price point). Or just get a used Pro like yours.

Between the Mavic 2 Pro and Zoom I would still get the Pro over the Zoom just for the bigger sensor with more dynamic range, adjustable aperture, etc.  I guess the Zoom has a few cool features geared more towards video.  Maybe if you want it more for video then the zoom would be a good choice.

There's always the new Autel Evo 2.

I found a BNIB MAvic Pro 1 with extras for $1000 cdn. It will probably do just fine.

So then roughly $750 US?

What extras?  Batteries are a must and ND filters are good for video.  Extra props are nice for... Accidents.  Haha.

That's a good price either way.  sounds like the fly more kit.  Cheapest I see is $850 from non reputable places.  $950 from B&H for the regular Pro and $1130 for the Platinum version which is what I have.  They're essentially the same thing but the Platinum came with the more efficient, quieter props.  They're all interchangeable anyway.

The Mavic 2 Pro will give you better results straight from the box with no editing.  It also is way better at night.  It will track better.  I dont think mine does a great job of tracking but I only tried it when I first got it and didn't know what I was doing.  You can definitely get good results from the MP1.  You just have to work a little harder to get similar results.
