New LED Mod
« on: December 22, 2019, 03:36:40 PM »
Saw posts about this so I ordered a set.   A little bit tricky to install but made it work on the upfitter switch #3 for now.    May tie into raptor lights later down the road.

What a waste of money

Haha!  Actually, I love it.  I may have to do it.  I want to see an angled shot at night with the raptor lights on.

Some night shots.   It is subtle.

See, I was holding out until you gave me the shot I requested.  I love it.  Very subtle and so clean.

Hit the wrong button and moded your post vs quote.

Yes I saw your requested shot....best I could do, I really am glad I bought amber.    I would be fun to change the color but happy with how it looks.

Amber for sure even though the white wouldn't have looked bad.  Is there room back there for another kit?

So what part of it was a pain in the ass?  Did the vents just pop right out?  I saw video of someone just yanking then out but then saw others say it's not that easy and they left them on.

Did you do the recall yet on the lights?  Ya know, I was thinking, if I send you mine and you send me yours, you don't have to have it done.  Just sayin...

Also, did you see the solution to the seatbelt/carpet recall?  Foil tape...

My truck hasn't been in for those 2 recalls...I don't want the DRL mod'ed...all they are going to do is dim them at night.   I don't want that and I sure the foil tape is from NASA.

But at somepoint I have to take it in just so the app will stop telling me I have to do it

No worries sir.    I had my first complement and question on them yesterday.   We were at Lowes in a nearby town, I had the truck running while we ran in...when I came out, there was a younger guy and his wife standing at my truck looking at the side lights and really inspecting them.   When I walked he wanted to know what they were etc...that was fun.   He was shocked when he asked me how much they cost and I told him.

Now I just gotta get creative on my mounts for the new grill lights coming in.

I think you need some Long Horns on the front of your truck and then you can use rollbar clamps to mount your lights.  You can add an LED strip for a daytime running light.
