a fresh detail....
« on: October 22, 2019, 09:52:23 PM »
not sure if you all caught the Facebook post at the Cafe.   I did a proper wash and detail on the truck.

Process:
PB Bug Squash on glass, mirrors, entire front end
Megs Citrus Cleaner on wheels, tires and wells
Optimum Car wash soap, 2 bucket method with Gilmore Foam Thingie
Mets HD on tires, trim, wells
Vac'ed interior
PB: Leather Stuff on seats
Hot water with Mf on dash and door trim etc.
Optimum Chrome Polish on everything chrome.
Stoners  All Glass surfaces

Reflecto's for dazes....and yes my garage is dirty and cluttered right now.   Working on it.

Thanks buddy, I haven't seen it clean in a long time...I should get some Sun shots...i totally just noticed that my wheels are paint matched.   Never knew that until I did this detail and I have had this truck for a year.   LOL .

I hope a bird craps on in the center of your hood where you can't help but see it and not reach it.

Kidding although if it happens now it'll be funny.  I'm just jealous of not only the truck itself, but also just the fact that it's clean.

Edit - just noticed the retractable steps.  Definitely hope a bird shits on it now.  Super jealous.

I ended up driving yesterday and yes I hit a bug right in the middle of the glass....ugh.   She sat indoors due to rain today, we had a dumb cold front come through....went from 66 to 33 in 1.5 hours.   Low of 26 tonight.

Headed to airport in the am and it will be in the garage there too....off to DC for 24 hours.   Anyone around or near Alexandria VA want to get a bite or drink?

As for the power steps...they do work but what a pain in the ass to keep clean.

I was in the DC area a week ago.  Always in NJ it seems.

By the way, you're bringing the weather with you.  Today and tomorrow are going to be cold.  Thanks for that.  I don't believe in coincidences.  You are the common denominator here.  I blame you.
