Happy Wife Detail
« on: October 04, 2018, 06:19:28 PM »
Wife let me buy a 2015 F-150 Lariat to replace my old 2004.  Upon getting home she said "By the way.  Mine gets detailed first."  So, before I can set to work on the new truck her 2014 Escape needed a going through.
My first "real" detail in a while.  I haven't detailed for money since moving to Oklahoma.

Picked up a new foam cannon.

The results.  Doesn't look like a 100,000+ mile car now.

turned out great !!!

What did you use on it ?

I need to live through others' detailing,
I have not had a chance to do either the Car or Truck this year, but at least the road construction is done.  I am guessing it is going to be a winter project if it is not -5 the entire winter.

How long did all of it take ?
Steve

I stick mainly to megs.
Cannon used Chemical Guys maxi-suds II.  It worked great and smelled great.  Smelled like cherry and almonds.  However, I guess it smells enough like the real thing that as soon as I used it there were bees everywhere.  On the car AND on me.
on the paint I used a mild clay bar, Megs #83 cleaner/polish, Megs #7 pure polish, Megs #20 polymer sealant, and Natty Red.
Plastics got mostly Megs #40, Engine/Tires/wheel wells got Hyperdressing.
Tried out Meg's Citrus Power Cleaner Plus in the extractor on seats and carpet.  I was pleasantly surprised.  I still miss my beloved APC+

When some neighborhood folks saw me detailing again, my phone started to ring.  I now have two pay gig's (both Lincolns) to get done this weekend.  LOL  At least it'll help pay for the new pressure washer.  My 12 year old machine finally died last week.

ONE day I'm going to get to do my truck!

I'm living through others as well.  Between my dirt road and the never ending rain, my truck doesn't even get washed.

Looks really good!

Nice clean up....I am not living through others...I am detailing like every week.   Just not posting.

Ok, that isn't true.

Thanks for posting a solid wash and detail.
