Good input, the Phantom is a no-go as I need to be able to stash it in a back-pack.

Also, I know it's not foldable and as easy to transport in a backpack, but consider a Phantom 4 Pro if you can find one.  The cameras are comparable to the Mavic 2 Pro.

Jason can give you his since he doesn't use it.

Used mine last week athanku.   And will be using this Thursday for inside flying.

Also, I am looking at a smaller one too...Mike you don't like the Mavic Air?  Camera not good enough?  Want to take to Mexico on next trip .

I need one that I can throw in a backpack as well but figured it was worth mentioning.

The air... I dont know a ton.  I've seen great results from it.  The camera seems comparable to my Mavic pro.  I've heard some people even like the air better.  I'd consider the air if I already had a P4P like you do.

I personally think the M2P is the best all around drone if youre only going to have one and portability is a concern.  But it is still pricey.  It wasn't available yet when I bought my Mavic pro.  If I had to do it all over right now, is spend on the M2P instead of the Mavic Pro.  There's a small part of me that wishes I waited a while and got the 2 but I'm not that patient and there were barely even mumbles of it at the time I bought mine.  Just a rumor.

I don't know what your goal is for a smaller one but I think the air would be a fun little addition.  You already have a larger more capable one.

I would like portability, the Spark is too small so I was looking at the Air's I think the video and quality is fine.   My P4 is a beast.   I was trying to avoid getting a permit in Mexico.  If I could get in my checked bag, I think I would be ok .

Well, I think in the end that you're right Mike. I'll just hold off and wait till I can spring for the M2 Pro.

Bummer, missed out on a BNIB Mavic 2 Pro for $1600. I was 20 minutes too late to the ad.

That is a bummer.  By the way, 2600 is crazy.  I guess that's just the way it works though.

Nearly 40% difference in the dollar. Just the basic kit is $2100 before tax.

I am completely ignorant to the exchange rates.  Is there any way around it?  Or does it not even matter because its just how it converts?  I guess what I'm asking is there any way to buy it at the US price with Canadian money?  Haha.

Wait it out and see if the USD and CAD go to parity as it was last ~ 2010.

About every 40 years or so the US economy falls apart while the Canadian economy holds up.  The other times either both hold up or fall apart at the same time.
Check back in ~30 years and see how it is doing.. :redneck:
