I didn't think this would work because it's so windy out but did a little test for motion lapse.

You probably have belt buckles that cost more than what I paid for this.

Gonna leave this here for Ryan.  Just because I know he wants a drone and because it's Vancouver.

Pretty cool shots, maybe it’s just me, be it seems like they are seriously high up there.

Primed the wife a bit this weekend. My Birthday may be the perfect timing.

At times he is definitely too high.  Without a direct shot down, it's hard to say if he is flying over anything.  I believe the rule is the same for Canada as it is the US, no higher than 400' above ground level or building/object.  I think the tallest building in Vancouver is 650+ feet tall.  The Trump building as well.  And a hand full are around 500'.  So as far as flying height, you could technically be 400 feet above those heights legally if flying over those buildings.  900'-1000' is pretty high.  I may or may not have flown straight up over much house to 1000' just see what it looked like.  If it's flying over that water though then it's definitely too high.  Funny thing about that "rule" though.  It's more of a strict suggestion than a rule/law.  As a hobbyist, it's a suggestion.  If you have your Part 107 then it is actually a rule.

I wonder if the prices are going to come down now since the the discovery of the corruption scandal at DJI.  Apparently prices were inflated 20%.  Seems to me they owe me over $200.

It's been too windy.  And starting tomorrow, too rainy.  So I took it out for an hour or so.  No video today.  I was more wanting to just mess around with taking pictures.  Most of them need to be merged because they're AEB.  I just wasn't up to the task today.  I'm having a hard time getting the drone to hover somewhat still.  It's almost as if the stick is being pushed to one side or the other.  For the longest time I thought it was just drifting in the wind but I'm beginning to think it's something else.  I just calibrated the joysticks and I thought for sure that was the fix but it still seems off a bit.  Maybe it's how I'm storing the controller in the bag.  I may try calibrating immediately before my next flight.  Thinking and typing at the same time here.  Anyway, here is a pano I took.  It's not as sharp as I think it should be and I think that might be a product of the drone not being stable during the multiple photo taking process.

Jason, do you use the pano feature on yours?  If so, how do you stitch the images together?  I let the Go4 app handle it but I just noticed the resulting image is actually about a 1/2 of the size of regular image.  What would stitching 6 or more photos together result in a smaller resolution image.  3.3MP in the end.  Regular images are 12MP.  Image is only 261kb as well.  What gives?

Edit- It seems they may only be JPG thumbnails and I actually have to go in to the card on the comluyer to see the fill size images.

If you are referring to my DJI, I have no idea if it has that feature...

I would be shocked if it doesn't.

This is my issue with DJI....to get to these functions, you have to take time and hover...burning flight time.  That is why I just fly in GPS mode,  no POI or tracking...just takes too long to set up...

just got the P4 out and I don't see where that feature is.

Hell it took me 10 min to figure out where the flight modes where.

For the Mavic, when you are in photo mode (not video), there are three options tabs.  Under the action button to take the picture you can open the settings.  There you can select auto or manual.  At the top of that little window are two additional tabs.  The middle tab has your single shot, HDR, AEB, Pano, etc.  Pano has multiple options in itself.  Looks like this.  Pano would be under where it says photo in the image.  Best I can do from the gym while I wait for Cassie to finish up.

And for what it's worth, it literally takes seconds to flip in to those photo modes.
