No it is not modded he just pushing the limits every flight.
Does he have a YouTube channel or anything?

10 miles is crazy far both for the battery and the remote connection.

Out of curiousity, was he flying from on the ship?  I thought that was a no-no.  Something about the magnetic field prevents you from bringing it back in.

Jason, how windy of conditions will you still fly in?  I finally experienced the high altitude drift others have talked about.  Yesterday was too cold and windy to fly.  I dont mind the cold. I don't like it accompanied by wind, especially 40mph winds.  Today was 5-7 mph.  Except at 1200 feet.  Started getting warnings at the top of a mountain and by the time I got turned around smoothly as not to affect video, I had drifted pretty far away.  So far I was flying away from myself thinking I was flying back towards myself.  Dope.  I'll get some video up then.  I may still hike over to the ridge and try to climb it for some video.  If it goes well maybe I will go live.

One last thing, do you ever get the Venetian blinds affect?  Don't know what else to call it.  Almost looks like the props in the corner but it's the whole screen.

Dude.....I get windy warnings out here where I live every flight.  My screen does goofy stuff but only when it doesn't have good line of sight

Always.  I get warnings a lot too.  Usually it's just a soft warning.  Then I sometimes get hit with the "Land ASAP".

Some quick clips from today.  No fancy editing.  I just wanted to get some clips up.  They are speed up a little to make them not so drawn out.

Well there is a little more to it than that but those exact words are in the warning.  I think it says something like "Fly safe and land ASAP".  I got that one today.  I go it recently too.  Maybe it's just our weather this year.  It's been crazy, wet and windy all year.

Low battery warnings annoy me.  Especially when I'm far away and have to listen to it all the way back.

just watched your video from the river up to the top of that hill (mountain)

I see that prop in the top left corner. I see mine too when I am hammered on the gas and the dron is really articulated...it probably does the same thing with wind at the top of that hill...just a guess.

you can see similar action around 1:58 in this video

The design of your drone does put your camera closer to your props than mine so yours is probably more susceptible to that effect.   Again just a guess

The prop I understand.  I will upload another one from today that really shows what I'm talking about.  I wasn't in sport mode or anything.  I was flying somewhat low so wind wasn't nearly as bad.
